Why No Reservations?

It may seem familiar...

Anthony Bourdain left an indelible mark on me with his way with words and his no-nonsense mentality.  The mark he left on me, and the restaurant world as a whole, is indelible.  This bar is not only a passion project of mine, but a subtle nod to a man named Tony who touched more lives than he ever knew.

What is No Reservations?

Around 1989, sociologist Ray Oldenburg created the term "Third Place" in his book "The Great Good Place."  Oldenburg posited that we hold three "places" in our lives:  A home place, a work place, and a place away from those two to convene with our neighbors, friends, and family.  Throughout world history, these third places have existed in various forms, but the most famous is the public house or bar.

That is what No Reservations is.  A place to escape the everyday, catch up with the world surrounding us, and make some new friends.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.  What are your hours?  Saturday through Tuesday, 5:17 pm until 11:00 pm.

2.  Why 5:17?  It's a good story, I promise.

3.  Do you take reservations?  No, but there is a waitlist if you show up and there are no seats.

4.  Are big groups welcome?  Unfortunately, the space is not equipped to handle large groups.

5.  How does the waitlist work?  If the lounge is full, your name will be placed on our waitlist.  As soon as a table becomes available, your party will be notified through text message.  Follow the instructions in the text, and the table will be held for fifteen (15) minutes. If the party does not arrive within that time frame, the table goes to the next group.
